Moving is easier when cleaning is planned around packing and the final walkthrough. Use these steps to prepare your Montgomery or Hope Hull home for its next occupant.

1. Confirm the checklist

Ask your landlord, property manager or buyer which tasks are expected. Share that checklist with your cleaner before requesting an estimate. Cleaning cannot guarantee a security-deposit refund or replace repairs.

2. Plan the appointment

Schedule cleaning after belongings and moving boxes are removed whenever possible. Confirm access, working water and electricity, parking and the time keys must be returned.

3. Clear the space

Remove personal items and rubbish so surfaces and floors are accessible. Identify delicate finishes, existing damage and areas that need extra attention. Avoid moving heavy appliances yourself.

4. Work room by room

Begin with accessible higher surfaces, then clean lower surfaces and finish with floors. Give kitchen and bathroom areas extra attention using products approved for their materials. Keep toilet-cleaning tools separate from other supplies.

5. Confirm the service scope

Review the included tasks before booking. Window cleaning and clothes folding are not offered by Phenomenal Milestones. Do not assume a landlord checklist is automatically included in a cleaning estimate.

6. Do a final walkthrough

Check accessible rooms against the agreed list and take your own photos for your records. Arrange pet supervision away from the cleaning area.
